About
Gwendoline Kuan-Jen Chen, born and raised in Taiwan, is a scenic artist and set dresser (among other things). As an innovative and diligent artist for theatre and films, with over five years of experience working in UK, Taipei, and US, she is well-equipped with skills such at scenic painting, prop making, and set dressing.
She is currently in training as an Intern for David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. Before her professional career, she was educated in Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the Collaborative Theatre Production and Design programme, where she mainly trained as a designer for sets, props, and puppets.
Aside from theatre and films, she enjoys good music, good arts, and above all, good food. (Although most mornings she is fuelled only by strong tea and sheer will power.) She cares deeply about people, community, and cultures, and is more than happy to get her hands dirty (both figuratively and literally) for a cause.
